Supporting Local Hearts & Health: Spring Harvest 2026

Last year, I joined a really special team of volunteers who—under the visionary leadership of my friend Stewart—pulled off an amazing afternoon of fundraising. Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, we raised $15,000 for the incredible team at Wheels for Hope.

That success was just the beginning.

Spring Harvest is the brainchild of Stewart Berman, who invited me to sit on the board when incorporating the organization. Our mission is simple but impactful: host an annual event where 100% of the energy and funds raised go directly to a chosen local charity.

This year, we are thrilled to announce that Spring Harvest is raising funds for PROST! Exercise 4 Prostate Cancer Inc.

Why PROST! Matters

PROST! is Australia’s only dedicated prostate cancer exercise support group. Having spent time in rooms with men who are currently undergoing or recovering from prostate cancer treatment, I can personally vouch for how sensitive, daunting, and fearful that journey can be.

The clinical evidence supporting exercise during and after cancer treatment is overwhelming—in fact, movement is almost universally recommended to aid recovery, manage side effects, and improve long-term outcomes. Sadly, many men lack the support network, guidance, or financial means to get started.

Funds raised at this year's Spring Harvest will directly subsidize professionally supervised exercise programs for men facing financial hardship, ensuring no one misses out on the care and community they need.

What makes Spring Harvest so special is the community behind it. A core group of us donates our time and expertise to plan the event, and on the day, we are joined by an "army" of family and friends who jump in to make the magic happen.

Thanks to the outrageous support of our local business community, every ticket includes:

• Delicious food and drinks

• Live music and entertainment

• Plenty of laughs and genuine connection

We’ll also be holding silent, open, and live auctions to raise as much money as possible for PROST! In the past, auction items have included everything from McLaren F1 collectibles and joy flights to weekend escapes, vintage wines, high-end coffee machines, fine jewelry, and local art.
